In March of 2022, Tijmen found himself at the Ukrainian-Romanian border where he was deeply moved by the stories he heard. He came to the realization that there are countless impactful stories that may never be heard by a wider audience. As a result, he has since made it his mission to document these untold stories through photography with the aim of creating a meaningful impact. Tijmen is now dedicated to capturing stories of individuals and communities whose experiences may otherwise go unnoticed.

As a fulltime photographer Tijmen specializes in event/nightlife photography while also dedicating himself to long-term documentary projects.
